This update makes Pack Me more flexible for different trips and travellers, while improving collaboration, reliability and control over your packing lists.

New and improved

• Add people to a trip and assign packing-list items to them.
• Assigned items are clearly labelled, such as “Wes: Smart Shirts ×3”.
• Leave general items such as speakers or chargers shared, without assigning a person.
• Pack Me remembers the last person selected when adding several items.
• Add and manage people within templates.
• Person assignments from templates carry into trips automatically.
• Filter packing lists by person, shared items, category and packing status.
• Combine multiple templates when creating a trip.
• Attach additional templates to an existing trip.
• Essentials now works like any other selectable template and is always shown first.

• The item-entry keyboard can be dismissed by pressing Return or dragging the form.
• Printed and exported packing lists now include quantities and person assignments, while respecting the selected ordering. Items excluded from a trip are not included.

Template and Essentials improvements

• Essentials items take priority when the same item also appears in another template.
• Pack Me warns you when adding an item to a template if it already exists in Essentials.
• Duplicate items from multiple selected templates are handled automatically.
• People with the same name from multiple templates are combined rather than duplicated.
• Removing a template item from one trip no longer removes it from the original template or other trips.
• Removing an item from a template now retains existing copies in active trips as ordinary trip items.
• Retained trip items can subsequently be deleted permanently instead of being moved to excluded items.
• Template updates preserve the items you have deliberately excluded from an individual trip.
• Items can be added to several templates at once, including Essentials.
• Template packing lists now support both A–Z and custom ordering.

Syncing and reliability

• Improved syncing when multiple people have the same shared trip open.
• Better handling of simultaneous edits and packing-status changes.
• Newly added items are protected when local and iCloud changes are merged, preventing older cloud data from making recent additions disappear.
• Concurrently added packing items, excluded items and To Do tasks are merged more reliably between devices.
• Improved syncing of template links, exclusions, quantities and person assignments.

Bug fixes

• Fixed newly added items sometimes disappearing after an iCloud sync, even when only one person was using the app.
• Fixed Ready and Packed totals becoming misaligned when the numbers reached double or triple digits.
• Fixed archived trips sometimes remaining after being deleted.
• Fixed Add Another sometimes moving the cursor to Quantity instead of Item Name.
• Fixed disabled Add and Add Another buttons appearing incorrectly in dark mode.
• Fixed the Add to Template option appearing unnecessarily when adding an item directly to a template.
• Improved the reliability of deleting and synchronising shared trip data.
• Fixed several inconsistencies in how template changes were applied to active and archived trips.
